Dr Come Ovbiagele, the Veteran Media Practitioner and Multiple Award-Winning Writer, Broadcaster, Speaker and Actor was the Erstwhile Vice President of the Organisation of Nigerian Professionals in America.
In 1976, he won the Prestigious Times International literary Award at the Department of Dramatic Arts University of IFE.
He also won the 1978 Broadcaster of the year Award on Television and the 1991 Best Speaker Award Organised by the Toastmasters International in Washington DC USA.
This very articulate and Witty Triple Crown Winner with a legacy of Excellence, also won the Coveted Crown at the 2016 World Elders’ Day Fashion Contest.
As a man of Extraordinary Scholarship and illustrious Career, Dr Come later became the Commissioned Biographer to Ex-President Obasanjo’s Monarch His royal Majesty Oba Dr Olawale Adisa Odeleye, the Olowu of Owu Abeokuta who had the distinguished honour of being the President of the Commonwealth Association of Architects and first African to bag a PhD in Architecture.
It excites me to know that I am one of the field Marshals of the fourth Estate of the realm who is being Celebrated for his profound Contributions to the Pen-Pushing Profession.
With a Career spanning over 5 decades, my very incisive and explosive Compositions crafted with Cinematic flair and timeless elegance, have appeared in major Global Publications.
I passed through institutions that are Beacons of Academic Excellence and was privileged to attend Edo College a top Ivy league and I have authored legions of books including the Blockbuster Bestseller titled: LAGOS, THE GLORY OF A MEGA-CITY; and I have served in various capacities in both the Print and Electronic Media as Editorial Consultant, Media Consultant and Editor in Chief.
With my Golden Voice, I sang Bass with the Nigerian National Festival Choir at the 1977 World Black Festival of Arts and Culture ( Festac 77) under the Directorship of Prof Laz Ekwueme; and as a Seasoned Actor, I featured prominently in various Dramatic productions with the late renowned Playwright Prof Ola Rotimi, the Author of the masterpiece thriller: THE GODS ARE NOT TO BLAME.
