Khan went on to earn further recognition for his performances in the 2001 thriller Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, the 2004 drama Dev, the 2004 romantic thriller Fida, and the 2005 crime thriller Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena. Besides acting, he has also participated in concert tours and stage shows. However, he was arrested in May 2001 for attempting to buy cocaine. After his last starring role in 2010, he took a break from the movie business in order to focus on his family. Speculation arose in December 2020 that he may be planning to come back to acting after being spotted outside the office of film director Mukesh Chhabra.
