Maria Luisa ”Malu” Trevejo (Malu Trevejo) is a famous Cuban-Spanish professional singer. Trevejo became popular for her videos on the video-sharing app Musical.ly. Trevejo’s debut song ”Luna Llena”, which was produced by the Fliptones, attained 33 million YouTube views within 7 weeks of launch. She was recognized as one of Pandora Radio’s 2018 Latin Artists to Watch. She then indicated that her album would be in Spanglish, consisting of both English and Spanish-language songs. In June 2017, Trevejo signed with In-Tu Llnea and Universal Music Latin. ”Luna Llena” debuted on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart at No. 27 and sold more than 2,000 downloads at the time. Later, a re-make of the track titled ”Luna Llena (English Version)” was launched for non-Spanish speakers.

She then launched a four-track EP titled Una Vez Mas on August 2, 2019. Trevejo’s single ”Luna Llena” topped at No. 18 on the Hot Latin Songs chart for two weeks in a row, and was certified gold and platinum within a month. She signed with new management and moved to the Los Angeles area in October 2020. On her 18th birthday, Trevejo created an OnlyFan account, gathering more than 37,000 subscribers in the first week.

Trevejo then reported on social media in October 2021, that she had signed to rapper Travis Scott‘s record labels Cactus Jack Records and Atlantic Records. Later the same month, she launched her new single ”Complicadp” featuring Luar La L. The track was launched under Cactus Jack and Atlantic. Trevejo was later dropped from Cactus Jack.
