The legacy of the legendary Nigerian music icon and evangelist, Sonny Okosun, will be celebrated as friends, family, and admirers gather to mark the 17th anniversary of his passing.
The commemorative event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10 Yaya Abatan Road, Aguda, Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos. It promises to be a heartfelt occasion filled with music, prayers, and reflections on the life and influence of a man whose voice and message transcended generations.
Sonny Okosun, a pioneering figure in Nigerian music and one of the leading voices of the Afro-funk and Ozzidi sound, transitioned from mainstream music into full-time ministry, using his talent to inspire souls through gospel.
