Bishop Dag Heward Mills founded the Lighthouse Chapel International church in 1987 at the young age of just 24. it has grown to become one of the biggest African Christain churches, with over 3000 church buildings across more than 90 nations across the globe.
Who Is Dag Heward Mills?
He is a Ghanaian pastor and author, a public speaker, and the bishop who founded and presided over the United Denomination.
Heward-Mills was received into the ministry in 1990 at the Victory Church, London, and was ordained the Bishop in 1996 at the International Ministerial Council of Great Britain.
He has taught more than 1,980 lay ministers and pastors all over the world. In a fervent pursuit of mission work, the pastor has dispatched 485 missionaries as well as constructed more than 400 church structures across the globe.
After finishing his primary education, Dag Heward-Mills enrolled at the Achimota School in Accra for secondary schooling.
He devoted all of his time to Christ when he was in secondary school, in his desire for service to the Lord, he joined with the Scripture Union and Calvary Road Singers (which later on grew to be Harvest Chapel International).
Additionally, he was admitted to review in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Ghana Medical School.
Her first venture was in the Lighthouse Chapel International as a student at Medical College. She has been able to feel a strong call from God to start an organization called a church.

Bishop Dag Heward Mills Ministry Career
Dag Heward-Mills started the church from one classroom in Korle-Bu, the School of Hygiene, Korle-Bu, and with a minimum of 15 people.
Despite his arduous academic work and numerous persecutions, Heward-Mills observed his church grow until it was now filled with people in the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital Canteen.
As the ministry continued to grow the size of its halls, larger and larger ones were required. They purchased an old cinema corridor in the Korle-Gonno region and mobilized their members to remodel the structure.
The structure would later prove to be the first of several Cathedrals that were built in conjunction with the Accra town Accra which Dag Heward-Mills would design and construct.
The congregation saw a rapid development until, finally in 2006, Dag Heward-Mills was commissioned to develop the construction of one of the largest congregations of churches that are located within Africa; The Qodesh.
Bishop Dag Heward-Mills was the founding patron of the National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches and was the chairman of the association until August 2003.
He is the founder of Ghana Charismatic Bishops Council Bishop and currently serves as a director on the board for Church Growth International and the Pentecostal World Fellowship.
