Gary Chapman(Gary Demonte Chapman ) is an American radio talk show host and author. He is well known for his series concerning human relationships, the series is known as The Five Love Languages. In addition, he is also a senior pastor at the Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem North Carolina.

He began his career in 1971 after he joined the staff of Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. His role was to teach and Family cares.

His first books which educated about family care included The Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate. The book was first published in 1992. The book has sold over 11 million copies in English and has been translated into 49 other languages. It also routinely ranks in the top five novels on the New York Times bestsellers list, with the #1 place being claimed on several occasions.

Moreover, Gary is well known for his concept of ” Five Love Languages”. The book helps people express and receive love as expressed through one of five languages: words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts acts of services, or Physical touch. While everyone enjoys each of these languages to some degree, Chapman claims that most individuals only speak one primary language, yet they are all essential and may be rated after taking the love language profile. Furthermore, Gary is also the writer of the Five Love Languages concept books for parents of children and teens, single adults, and a men’s edition.
