Uebert Angel (born Uebert Mudzanire; 6 September 1978) is a Zimbabwean-born British businessman charismatic preacher of the evangelical faith and the creator of Spirit Embassy, a Pentecostal ministry in the United Kingdom. He is also the President’s Ambassador and Envoy for the nation that is Zimbabwe towards Europe as well as the Americas. He is called Prophet Angel and was previously identified as Uebert Angel Mudzanire. The church was established in 2007 under the name “Spirit Embassy” and in October of 2015, the church changed its name to “Good News Church”, keeping “Spirit Embassy” as an expression for Angel’s entire ministry.

Career and life

Angel was born in and grew up in Masvingo, Zimbabwe. He then relocated from Zimbabwe to Manchester, England, where he established his ministry, the Spirit Embassy ministry in 2007. In October of 2015, the Spirit Embassy ministry changed its name to “Good News Church” (sometimes called “Spirit Embassy Good News Church”). The church’s ministry attracted many followers, and now there are 70 branches spread across 15 countries across Europe, Africa, and the US. He began his real estate industry, focusing on residential properties. In 2006, he completed his first property sale and in 2008 he launched Sam Barkeley Construction and The Angel Organisation, which is the company that is his parent for business interests. In January 2020, the Angels provided school fees to all 797 children located at Kadyamadare Primary School located in Chikwaka, Chikwaka Communal Lands in Zimbabwe. The same thing was done through Uebert Angel’s charitable arm, the Uebert Angel Foundation (UAF). The foundation continued this in February when they carried out a similar for 1026 students from Bota primary school in Masvingo paying the school fees, including levies for the whole year.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Uebert Angel Foundation (UAF) implemented a number of charitable initiatives that began with a mealie dinner of $15,000 to feed families with food within Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe. This was followed a month later, when UAF provided bags of mealie meals as well as cooking oil to the members in its 5,000-strong branch of Spirit Embassy: GoodNews Church in Harare, Zimbabwe.
